- Hormonal side effects like headaches, bloating, mood changes may occur.
Implanon
Implanon (otherwise known as “the implant” or “the rod”) is a small plastic rod containing a progestogen hormone. Implanon is inserted under the skin on the inside of the upper arm by a trained Better Health Greenhills Doctor or Nurse and slowly over time releases the hormone into the bloodstream. This is an effective method of contraception.
